Tell us about your brand & how you got started?

Darrell and I met in high school and were in Mount Isa - in the middle of outback Queensland, but we now call sunny Brisbane home.

My background is in graphic design and art direction but after spending 10 years in design studios and advertising, I felt like I needed a bit of a change…

I fell in love with weddings after designing our own wedding stationery and signs. And in 2013 we began creating wedding stationery and signs for couples as a side project.

In 2015 we jumped into the world of wholesale and debuted our line at the National Stationery Show in New York. It’s been a wild ride so far and it just seems to be getting crazier each day! 

Who’s in your team?

There’s currently five of us - Myself (Janet) and my husband Darrell, Katelyn our warehouse manager, and Court & Emily our sales assistants at the store. 

Where do you find inspiration for the brand?

So many places! I have a real passion for hand lettering and illustration so graphic design & typography blogs are my go to places. But travelling really re-energises us so we try to visit new countries and experience new cultures as much as we can. I also love flicking through old art and botanical books and fashion mags and of course instagram. 

What makes your brand unique / separates you from the crowd?

As much as I love minimalist brands we’re definitely about 'more is more’. Lots of colour (pinky peaches are our favs), illustration, hand drawn typography and florals. 

What's the most meaningful gift you have ever received?

My husband Darrell is very thoughtful and will often hand make me little gifts - I think those are the sweetest!
